Starting 17th March 2020, In order to protect employees and stakeholders from COVID-19 (Coronavirus), IRCC has suspended all biomteric services in Canada until further notice. All biometrics appointments have been cancelled and applicants are advised not to go to a Service Canada location to submit their Biometrics until further notice.
Anyone who booked their appointment for biometrics must have received an email from Service Canada appointment system regarding this.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has given applicants in Canada 90 days from the date of their letter to give their biometrics. A new biometrics instruction letter is not required.
It is up to applicant to reschedule their appointments when service Canada locations return to normal operations.
