Starting December 3rd , 2019 , you will need to give your fingerprints and picture (biometrics) even if applying from within Canada for:
- first work permit (open or closed) or any type of extension of work permit
- first study permit or extension of study permit
- visitor visa or extension of visit visa
- permanent residence applications
Note- if you have already given biometrics for any type of TRV (temporary residence application) application in Canada or outside then you don’t need provide it again (unless they have expired), for a new TRV application.
However, you need to give fresh biometrics each time you apply for a PR application even if already provided in past for any TRV application.
